The Tower is returning to ITV for another series and the latest season sees the shocking murder of a teenager throw the covert work of a particular detective into chaos.
The series will be broadcast across four consecutive nights from tonight, September 2, ending on Thursday and all episodes will be on ITVX.
Harrowing events from the new season will see the main characters lock horns as the show's creators have teased plenty more thrills.
The new series is set almost two years after the season two finale and the synopsis reads: "Sarah Collins is investigating the stabbing of a teenager, which brings her face to face with Lizzie, who is doing her best to manage being a detective and a mother."

DI Kieran Shaw and DC Lizzie Adama return (Image: ITV)
DS Sarah Collins - Gemma Whelan
Sarah Collins is at the heart of the series and she is played by Gemma Whelan, a 43-year-old English actress and comedian.
She is best known for playing Yara Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, and for her stand-up character Chastity Butterworth.
The star is married to Gerry Howell and she has two children.
DC Lizzie Adama - Tahirah Sharif
Lizzie is played by Tahirah Sharif, a 31-year-old British actress known for playing Carrie Norton in Waterloo Road.
Viewers may also recognise her from Rebecca Jessel in the Netflix horror anthology series The Haunting of Bly Manor.
For her role in The Tower, she received a Supporting Actress BAFTA nomination.
DC Steve Bradshaw - Jimmy Akingbola
Steve returns for the new series and he is played by Jimmy Akingbola, a 46-year-old Nigerian-British television, theatre and film actor.
Viewers may know him best as PC Neil Parker in Holby Blue and he went on to play Antoine Malick in its parent series Holby City.
He is the brother of musician Sola Akingbola, who is best known as the percussionist with chart toppers Jamiroquai.
DI Kieran Shaw - Emmett J Scanlan
Kieran is back for season three and he is played by Emmett J Scanlan, a 45-year-old Irish actor known for playing Brendan Brady in Hollyoaks.
His other credits of note include The Fall, Peaky Blinders and Kin.
The star is married to actress Claire Cooper and he has three children.

DCS Tim Baillie - Karl Davies
Tim is played by Karl Davies, a 42-year-old English actor who played Lyle Anderson in the TV series Kingdom.
Viewers may also recognise him as Robert Sugden in Emmerdale.
Outside of work, he is a fan of extreme sports and competed in climbing competitions as a teenager.
DC Lee Coutts - Bobby Lockwood
Lee is played by Bobby Lockwood, a 31-year-old English actor known for playing Mick Campbell in House of Anubis.
In 2021 he joined the cast of Casualty as Leon Cook. When he was just 12 he starred in Waterloo Road when it first started airing.
DC Elaine Lucas - Ella Smith
Elaine is played by Ella Smith, an actress, writer and director known for her leading role in Ray & Liz.
She is also a Soprano singer and is talented at playing the flute and piano.
As a filmmaker, Ella's debut award-winning short film Mdudu Boy was released in 2016.
Shakiel Oliver - Daniel Adegboyega
Shakiel is played by Daniel Adegboyega, a 45-year-old actor known for Transformers: The Last Knight.
He has also worked as a personal trainer and is talented in stage combat, martial arts and weapons training.
His other credits include Skyfall, The Gunman and 6 Underground.
